Campus Drive Report 2020-21
The Placement Cell conducted the Placement Drive and other activities for the year 2021-22. The details are as under:

6. Process adopted for campus drive and disposal of complaint:
- The Cell invites various companies through direct invitations and hiring the services of Agencies. For the current year’s campus drives, the Cell sent letters to the HR’s of about 48 companies of different sectors for campus drives but only 4 companies/ NGO responded i.e. TATA AIG, Azeem Premji Foundation, PROFIC Organic & Star Health positively. Total 11 student were selected in these companies.
- Job training ( two weeks) was also provided before inviting the companies from a professional trainer to enhance the employability of the students.
- For increasing the number of placement and provide diversified opportunities to our students, the Cell also hires the services of professional agencies as per the approval of the Competent Authority.
- This year the services of Avasar Venture, Lucknow were hired and total Rs.1,10,000 was approved for providing the campus recruitment opportunities for 6 companies. The results of Campus drive is mentioned in the Table on pre-page.
- A complaint was received regarding the joining in two companies i.e. HT Media. The complaint was made by Mr. Avinash Kumar & Mr. Piyars Ranjan Singh. The complaint is genuine and the Cell has taken appropriation action as per the feedback received from the Agency hired for campus drive. The feedback & action taken was as under:
- Total 26 students were selected in HT Media and the company communicated that the offer letter will release only after the verification of the documents. In the mean time, 19 out of 26 students refused to join the job and only 3 reached at Gurugram for document verification but company refuse to join with the argument that they have not scheduled the training as 19 students were refused to join. The Cell instructed the Agency to arrange joining as the students submitted their reservation before reaching the Gurugram as per the instruction of the Agency. But the Agency could not convince the company and therefore, the Cell decided that the University will not pay the agency charges of Rs. 20,000 approved for the said company.
- The company, whose name in not mentioned in the said complaint i.e. Credidas Solutions hold the joining of selected candidates as they decided to give priority to the experienced candidates. The Agency provided another company i.e. Investorsure in place of Credidas and all the 11 selected candidates got offer letters from this new company. The entire process was done after communicating the situation and receiving due consents from the students for new company. It includes those two candidates who reached Gurugram to Join HT Media Company. For third candidate the Agency is arranging placement in other company. One complainant Mr. Piyars Ranjan did not reached Gurugram and communicated the Cell that he will not move without getting the Offer letter of the company and therefore, his case was not considered for placement in other company.
- After this bad experience, the Cell corrected the process and communicated the Agency that in future, the University will pay the service charge only after the receiving of Offer Letters from the Company.
7. Further plan for current session:
- The Cell is targeting to prepare students of AY-2022 batch for campus placement and planning to conduct a induction programme in second week of October,2021. For this induction programme, a link for to obtain consent has been sent to about 2000 students. Total 170 consents were received till date.
- The Cell is also trying to invite companies especially the Pharma Companies for campus drive for the students of AY-2020-21.
- The reply of the complaint ( annexure -1) should be sent on the basis of above report/ facts from the administration as the complaint was received in Registrar office so that the transparency in the placement activities can be ensure.
