Constraints of the drive:
- The registered students were not sincere to attend the Job training and campus drive as out of 276 students only about eighty students attended the job training though it may due to not opening of the university but the presence of registered candidates in online and offline campus drive was also limited.
- The communication skill of many students was not up to the mark and it came as feedback from HR Managers of the company that conducted drive.
- The habit of late coming and not following the instructions properly was also reported by the HR managers.
- Some students participated in the drive for fun only and this behavior is not good for the reputation of the University and also can impact the future Campus Drives.
- Students did not participate in the training and drive despite their consent and registration.
Future plan
Remedies to overcome constraints:
- For skill development, regular training is essential at least for one month to the needy students.
- The cell is proposing regular job training from March to May, 2021 to the final year and outgoing students two days in a week that is Friday and Saturday from 3 to 5 Pm.
- A local trainer Ms. Devagya Mukherjee who also participated in the five day job training with good performance and the University can hire her services for regular training sessions.
- Use of the Faculty members may also be done for training the students if they are ready to do it.
- A nominal charge for training and Placement activity should be propose to make the students sincere and also to recover the cost of activities to some extent.
- For increasing the participation, we can allow students from other higher educational Institutions of the city in future also.
- As an experiment, the cell allowed B. Tech students of Govt. Indira Gandhi Engineering College, Sagar to participate in InnoEye Technology, Indore campus drive. Total 40 students of B.Tech. registered in this drive and the cell is charging Rs. 300 per student from their students. The same experiment may be extended in future also so that the problem of limited participation of our students may be resolved.
- After completion of training (3 months), the cell is planning to organize Job fair in month of May-June, 2021.
