Startups now have become an integral and a very critical component of Indian Economy and have been playing a very catalytic role in spurring and sustaining socio-economic growth in the country. Startups create more jobs which means more employment, and more employment means an improved economy. Not only that, Startups can also contribute to economic dynamism by inciting innovation and injecting competition. New entrepreneurs can bring new ideas to the table, much needed to stir innovation and generate competition. Startup India, one of the flagship program announced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India was formally initiated in January 2016 has since then brought numerous laurels.
With this brief background, I am pleased to inform you that Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India is organizing the 1st Edition of PRARAMBH – Startup India International Summit on Friday, 15 & Saturday, 16 January 2021 on a virtual platform.
It is in this context, A Roadshow on Prarambh - Startup India International Summit is organized on Friday, 08thJanuary 2021 from 1100 - 1200 hrs over CISCO Webex.

Overall objective of the Summit is:
- setting up an ecosystem to boost entrepreneurship & innovation
- enabling global linkages & partnerships
- celebrating the progress made and define way forward to further strengthen
- encouraging business partnerships amongst the corporates and the startups
- showcasing high quality, high technology and frugal innovations
- encouraging investments by High-Net-Worth Indian Family Businesses in startups
The Summit will be a unique confluence of best and the brightest minds in the startup ecosystem. The platform will bring together startups, entrepreneurs, innovators, angel investors, venture capitalists, policy makers, academicians, accelerators, business coaches, etc. to present, discuss, and deliberate on various nuances of the emerging startup ecosystem and the way forward.
